Flickering (z-fighting) can be visible when two surfaces overlap each other or when they are very close to each other. This problem is magnified when such close surfaces are observed from a large distance, so large scenes, such as exteriors or office spaces, are more affected.
To fix z-fighting, the distance between overlapping surfaces should be increased or, one of the surfaces should be removed if possible (for example, if a floor surface is fully covered by a carpet, the floor can be removed).
The carpet surface overlaps the wooden floor surface, causing z-fighting. The carpet should be moved up slightly (1 mm is usually enough):
