Which devices and browsers can open scenes in VR?

  • Oculus Rift and HTC Vive with desktop Firefox or Chrome browsers.  
    • For Oculus Rift allow applications from outside of the Oculus Store: https://support.oculus.com/632287656943461/
    • For laptops with two GPUs (e.g., an integrated GPU and a high-performance NVIDIA GPU): configure the operating system to use the high-performance GPU for the browser. Open the NVIDIA Control Panel and select 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings tab, and customize Mozilla Firefox (firefox.exe) or Google Chrome (chrome.exe) to prefer the High-performance NVIDIA processor.
  • Windows Mixed Reality headsets with Microsoft Edge browser.
  • Oculus Quest and Oculus Go with the Oculus Browser, which is available in Oculus Home.
  • Google Cardboard with any stock WebGL-enabled mobile browser (Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
  • Daydream with the Chrome mobile browser.
  • Gear VR with the Oculus Browser.
